Measurement Tools

Measure now without affecting cut and fill volumes. You can now measure a length, an area and get a count from the ribbon. You can create:

• shapes to estimate lengths
• areas by freehand

or calculate from existing structures or lines on your Plan.

Mudshark 7, gives you multiple three-dimensional objects, including cubes and pyramids. So, it’s easy to calculate objects for construction or landscaping projects and to differentiate between them.

Advanced Options for Structures

Taking advantage of the new options for structures

With MudShark 7, we continue to give you right earthworks estimating tools for the job, be it calculating trenches or retaining walls. We have designed a new tool for calculating banking and batter. You can now control how cut and fill, and trim is applied to structures.

Try our Advanced Options for structures:

• Control if you are trimming to the inside or outside
• Control if you are trimming against existing or proposed structures.
• Choose whether the structure surface defines the bottom or the top of the structure.

Takeoff Enhancements

Using the Offset Tool for a slab

MudShark was designed to make taking off a plan for your earthworks easy. MudShark 7 takes this to a new level. With Mudshark 7 you can:

• Transmute dashed contour lines on any structure
• Takeoff quantities from a plan, when the plan is missing the line that’s required to trace using the Mudshark 7 ‘Offset from Input tool’.
• Offset your lines by a vertical, horizontal, or angled offset while specifying the altitude.
• Remembers what you last entered for a field.

Heat Maps

Heat Maps provide great insight at a single view
