The latest release of Cubit Estimating has arrived and offers an exciting new way to increase the efficiency and productivity of your workflows, so you can work quicker, more accurately, and with greater confidence.
Bill of Quantity Improvements.
Buildsoft have been working hard to improve the way the system handles a Bill of Quantities, so you can present it in a way that better matches your company needs.
The latest version of Cubit Estimating introduces more formatting controls, enabling you to customise your BOQ reports according to your company needs.
Improvements include:
- Additional font support featuring identical bill referencing
- Additional formatting facilities via a new formatting column, enabling you to mark items as
- having no bill reference,
- extend an Item description,
- centre-align text, indent a line,
- remove a black line after a row.
Along with giving you greater control, these improvements make work easier for the Global Estimating customers to work between both systems and achieve the same formatting results.
Improved Collaboration
Responding to industry feedback for a more collaborative way to estimate, Buildsoft have improved the ability for you and your team to collaborate on a single job.
It’s now easier for you and your team to access, view, and report on a Job, even while someone else continues to work inside that Job. There’s no need to ask a team member to exit a Job, or to duplicate it, so you can get your work done – you can now simply open the Job as ‘Read Only’ and review the entire job, understand what stage your estimate is at, and even generate reports.
When you’re the person working on an estimate, there’s no need to worry about changes being made without your knowledge. While you’re working, your team can review the job, but not make changes, so you have peace of mind that your data isn’t being affected.
Making your estimate data more accessible to your team will help reduce bottlenecks in your workflows, facilitate greater accuracy while analysing your jobs, and offers greater insights to allow you to make the right decisions. You and your team will always have access to the information needed.
New name. Same great software.
As part of this release, Buildsoft have updated their branding, with Cubit now named Cubit Estimating. They have also rebranded Bartender, which is now named Cubit Select. The new naming better represents the single solution approach for both estimating and tender management.
Although the names have changed, you can still expect the same great software and service you have come to reply upon, with no changes to its functionality or your access, beyond our regular updates and enhancements.
